The Keller Lumber Story

In the late 70s and early 80s Mr. Keller, the founder of our company, was dissatisfied with the log prices he was getting from Mead Hardwoods, the only sawmill in town. Mr. Keller was a logger then, and, after meeting with the Mead Sawmill heads a several times about the fairness of their prices, he finally bought the land on which our mill now stands, began offloading logs and having monthly log sales, after which time, the company grew into log yard, then a small circle mill, and finally to the size we are now, from which we ship several trailer loads of wood product a day.

Growth aside, we are still a small, family-owned company, with a family feel and mentality. Are main product is green Appalachian hardwood lumber, particularly red and white oak, walnut, poplar, cherry and ash, but also dimensional pine, as well as custom pieces like live edge walnut, cherry, and maple.
